Blending Asian cultures with abstract mixed media, BIPOC artist, Annie repurposes household packaging materials to create emotive pieces. She utilizes her pareidolia (the act of personifying anything inhuman; ie. seeing a face in a bell pepper or animal in a wood grain) to translate her abstract paintings into koi fish scenes. Annie is a self taught artist who practices and promotes zero waste initiatives through her art. This is really taking ‘one man’s trash, is another man’s treasure’ (Yotam Ottolenghi) to another level.
